Week 4 picks and TV listings – The Daily Gazette

Ugly. There’s no other way to describe my Week 3 picks.

I went 5-11. I really don’t know what happened. I was so confident that Kansas City would beat an inept, winless Indianapolis squad that I even picked the Chiefs in my survivor pool.

I didn’t survive.

I surely thought Buffalo, coming off the Monday night rout of Tennessee, would handle business in Miami. But the Bills had a meltdown. Not even the Dolphins’ butt point late in the game could save the Bills … but it was a game that my colleague and Dolphins fan Mike MacAdam could like.

And it may be time to take the Jacksonville Jaguars seriously after their 38-10 rout of the Los Angeles Chargers. First-year Jaguars head coach and former head coach of my Philadelphia Eagles Doug Peterson has Jacksonville playing well. I may be picking the Jaguars to win in future games.

But not this Sunday, not against my Eagles.

Hopefully, Eagles fans will cheer Peterson on Sunday. He did bring us our first Super Bowl title, and he was correct in his benching of quarterback Carson Wentz during the 2020 season. Wentz looked awful against the Eagles on Sunday, getting sacked nine times.

Unlike me, Gazette colleague mailto:[email protected] had a great Week 3, going 11-5. Shinder is 28-19-1. I am 22-25-1.
