Rhea Seehorn’s 10 Best Movies & TV Shows, According To IMDb

Rhea Seehorn has received tons of praise for her performances in the AMC drama, Better Call Saul and with the show wrapping up, Seehorn, who plays the lawyer Kim Wexler, is currently the only member of the spinoff exclusive main cast whose character is yet to be killed off. Given how impressive she has been, fans will hope that Kim hangs on until the series finale.

Though Kim Wexler is Seehorn’s breakout role, she isn’t new to the movie and TV business. The actress has appeared in numerous projects ever since she was a teen in the ’90s, but which are the best ones? IMDb ratings are the perfect way to sieve out the cream in Seehorn’s filmography.

Cam and Erin stand side by side in Linoleum

Cameron Edwin, the host of a children’s show, tries to build a rocket ship so he can go to space but his actions lead to a series of strange events. Seehorn plays his wife, Erin.

Erin’s entire arc in the movie revolves around her chaotic relationship with Cameron. Though Seehorn is more used to playing a loving partner in Better Call Saul, she doesn’t struggle here as a wife who can no longer tolerate her husband’s behavior and wants out. The character has a couple of monologues packed with memorable lamentations as well as a number of hilarious segments that dilute the gloom brought about by the marital woes.

9 Franklin & Bash (2011–2014) – 7.6

Stream On Pluto TV

The DA Ellen argues with lawyers in Franklin and Bash

In one of the best ever TNT shows, two lawyers are recruited into a law firm where they employ unconventional methods to solve cases. Seehorn’s character—that of District Attorney Ellen Swatello—appears later in the series.

The role isn’t much different from the one that has made her a household name. Like Kim, Ellen is a brilliant lawyer who starts out with a great moral compass but eventually becomes indoctrinated after hanging out with the two cunning buddies. Her performances here presumably gave her an edge when the decision of who would be cast as Kim was made.

8 Burn Notice (2007 – 2013) – 8.0

Stream On Hulu & Freevee

After getting unceremoniously booted from the CIA, a spy settles for PI jobs in Miami as he investigates what led to his ouster. Seehorn’s role is that of Patty, a woman who falls for a con artist.

Patty is curved into the damsel in distress trope but thanks to Seehorn’s amazing performance the character comes off as very likable. As is always the case, she has no idea she has been conned too and tries to discredit anyone who accuses her boyfriend of wrongdoing. Viewers get to enjoy her action scenes too, especially those where she gets caught up in hostage situations.

7 The Singles Table (2006)

The cast of The Singles Table

In this show, five strangers bond over the fact that they are single during a wedding reception. Stephanie, one of the singles, is played by Seehorn.

Seehorn has been typecast in relationship-related roles but this particular role came at a time when she was still fairly new in the industry, and she does a perfect job in making Stephanie a character many can relate to. Stephanie also shines by cracking jokes way more than many of Seehorn’s other characters. sadly, The Singles Table became one of the shows that were canceled almost immediately.

6 Cooper’s Bar (2020) – 8.1

Stream On AMC+

Kim and the bar owner face off in Cooper's Bar

A liquor enthusiast attempts to achieve his dream of creating the perfect Tiki bar in his backyard. Among the main cast is Seehorn, who stars as the arrogant Hollywood executive, Kris.

The actress rarely takes on villainous roles so this particular role is a refreshing one. As a powerful Hollywood executive, Kris believes the bar owner should cave into the demands of filming on the location without much compensation. The confrontations thus play out dazzlingly, with the owner refusing to bulk and Kris doing her best to make him pay.

5 Law & Order: SVU (1999 – Present) – 8.1

Stream On Hulu & Peacock

Right wing pundit Martha Cobb gives a speech in law & Order: SVU

In one of the spinoffs that have lasted longer than the original show, officers from the NYPD’s Special Victim’s Units solve cases based on real-life crimes. The right-wing pundit, Martha Cobb is played by Seehorn.

Cobb is hardly a fan favorite but she still touches viewers because she is a tragic character. She relishes giving the detectives a hard time and forcefully instilling her beliefs in others. Contrarily, the character is used to highlight the issue of sexual assault and how perpetrators go unpunished at times. Despite Cobb’s best efforts, the perpetrator walks free.

4 Family Guy (1999– Present) – 8.2

Stream On Hulu

Rhea Seehorn's character Joanie in the spoof of Joanie Loves Chachi in in Family Guy

Events revolve around the Griffins, a dysfunctional family consisting of a man, his wife, three children, and an anthropomorphic pet dog. Seehorn voices Joanie, the daughter of a hardware store owner.

Joanie appears in a spoof of the popular ’80s sitcom Joanie Loves Chachi. She is depicted as a hopeless romantic and stubborn teenager who will do whatever it takes to have her way. Though Joanie only appears for a few minutes in select episodes, her absurdity makes her quite the memorable character.

3 Veep (2012–2019) – 8.3

Stream On HBO Max

After becoming Vice President, former Senator Selina Meyer does her best to leave a legacy. Seehorn is introduced later in the series as Michelle, the campaign manager of a rival presidential candidate.

Michelle fits right into the comedic tone of the series. Her verbal spats with Selina Meyer make for some uproarious moments. As is always the case, Selina ends up being the winner, and Michelle delivers some memorable shady burns of her own. How she also turns a rather unlikeable candidate into a threat during the elections is quite remarkable too.

2 Homicide: Life On The Street (1993–1999)

Jenny talks to the police in Homicide: Life On The Street

Detectives in the Baltimore Police Department work hard to solve the numerous murder cases in the city. A young Seehorn has a supporting role as the teenage murder witness, Jenny.

It’s the actress’ first ever role, one she handles with so much expertise that viewers hardly recognize her inexperience. The episodes that Jenny appears in feel like some of the best murder mysteries since the character’s confessions throw the law enforcement officers even further away from their goal than close to it.

1 Better Call Saul (2015 – 2022) – 8.8

Stream On Netflix

Better Call Saul season 6 Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler

the Breaking Bad spin-off chronicles the rise of the sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman. And among the lead actors is Seehorn, who portrays Kim Wexler.

Few shows can match the quality of Better Call Saul and Seehorn’s character contributes greatly to the overall awesomeness. She has arguably the best character development as well as the most decorated career as a lawyer. Viewers also get to watch her turn bad, thanks to her husband’s influence before she eventually realizes her mistakes.
