Keanu Reeves voices Batman in DC League of Super-Pets, but a live-action version of the Dark Knight has always been his dream role.

DC League of Super Pets is now playing and it is a nice fun family outing for those looking to go to the movies. The movie also features Batmanwho is played by none other than Keanu Reeves, and it appears the actor has had a Batman role on his wishlist for some time.

DC League of Super Pets is an animated movie set in the world of DC’s iconic world of superheroes. With a star studded cast, this film is a nice fun treat for those hoping to take their children to the movies and introduce them to the word of DC Comics heroes. While Keanu might be playing Batman in this film, the actor always wanted to play the caped crusader in a live-action movie. The actor is known for having roles in projects such as The Matrix, Cyberpunk 2077and the John Wick series, to name a few. It would be very fitting to see the actor in another version of the character down the road. “It’s always been a dream, but [Robert] Pattinson’s got Batman right now and he’s doing awesome, so maybe down the road…Maybe when they need an older Batman” Reeves said to Additional.

Following this year’s release of The Batman, it’s very fitting for DC to go the exact opposite route by having a film that’s much more lighthearted, as it demonstrates their versatility. If Keanu did get the chance to play Batman in a live-action film, it’s safe to say he would do a solid job. He has the voice, the build, and the aesthetic necessary to play the brooding superhero. Based on his performance in the John Wick movies, it’s very easy to see how he would do if he should ever throw on the cape and cowl.

For now, fans will have to settle for seeing him on the animated side of DC, but of course, anything is possible down the road. Fans are currently in a world where they have three different live-action versions of Batmanand lately the world of comic book movie creation is almost as dramatic as the stories themselves.

DC League of Super Pets is now playing in theaters.
