Joey King has been landing lots of acting gigs lately, and her latest movie, bullet train, is set to release on August 5, 2022. This action movie will also star Brad Pitt, Bad Bunny, and Sandra Bullock and will focus on the story of five assassins who cross paths while riding the bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka.
In this movie, Joey plays the character Prince, but before starring alongside big names, she started her career at four years old. Her first acting gig was in a cereal commercial, and her first movie, Grace, happened two years later. She was nine years old when she landed her first leading role alongside Selena Gomez in Ramona and Beezus. She has starred in many movies throughout her career and these are the best ones yet.

The Kissing Booth is based on a novel of the same name written by Beth Reekles. The story is about Elle Evans, a young teenager who made a list of rules with her childhood best friend, Lee, and must respect them if she values their friendship.
However, it all comes crashing down for Elle when she falls in love with Lee’s older brother, Noah (played by Jacob Elordi), which is one of the rules she shouldn’t be breaking. Will she be able to hide her relationship from Lee, or will she lose him forever? This romantic movie may be cheesy at times, but it clearly became a fan favorite.
7 Summer ’03 (2018)
Joey plays sixteen years old Jamie Winkle in this coming-of-age comedy. After finding out a bunch of secrets and revelations from her grandmother on her deathbed, Jamie and her family’s lives change forever.
Jamie is a rebellious teenager who tries to make the most of her summer by exploring her sexuality and enjoying time with her friends. This movie is for anyone who once enjoyed the early 2000s movie American Pie. Summer ’03 may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it has funny moments worth watching.
6 The Princess (2022)
The Princess is a movie that breaks every classic stereotype of being a damsel in distress. Joey King plays none other than the princess, a strong, determined, and badass protagonist who will stop at nothing to achieve her goal. When her kingdom and family are in peril, and she gets forced to marry a sociopath who wants to take her father’s place as King, she does everything to prevent it.
The movie lacks a storyline, but seeing a princess actually defend herself and not need a man is refreshing and inspiring for many young girls out there. Many fans compared the princess to Princess Fiona from the first Shrek movie. The scene often compared with The Princess is when Fiona fights against Robin Hood and his goons in the forest. It is definitely worth watching, especially for all the awesome fight scenes.
5 Fargo (2014-2015)
Joey King played Greta Grimly in the TV series fargo. Greta was the daughter of Gus Grimly and the step-daughter of Molly Solverson, and she appeared in 9 episodes of the first season.
fargo is a black comedy and drama set in 1979. A young State Police Officer named Lou Solverson comes back to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and travels back and forth from Luverne, Minnesota, to investigate a series of a gang and mob crimes. This series, inspired by the movie of the same name, is as violent as it can get but worth watching, so viewer discretion is advised.
4 The Kissing Booth 2 (2020)
The sequel to the Kissing Booth is about Elle and her struggle to maintain a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend away at Harvard while choosing which college to attend next year. A second love interest is introduced to the story to spice things up and create more conflict in the protagonist’s life. Will Elle stay faithful to her boyfriend, or will she fall for the newcomer?
This sequel is a fun ride for anyone who loved the first movie. It has many romantic scenes and moments where Elle’s loyalty and trust get tested.
3 Ramona And Beezus (2010)
Joey plays Ramona Quimby, a child who uses her wild imagination to escape her reality when confronted with various issues. She does just that when she finds out that her parents are going through financial problems and may lose the house, while her older sister, Beezus, played by Selena Gomez, have her own share of drama to deal with.
This is a fun comedy packed with adventure and cute visuals for anyone who may relate to the young child. It’s a perfect movie to watch with younger siblings or children.
2 In Between (2022)
The In-Between is inspired by the movie Ghost starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. This movie follows Tessa (Joey King), a young amateur photographer who loses her boyfriend, Skylar, in a car accident. After surviving the crash, she begins to see and feel his presence around her and attempts to reconnect with him, although he is in the in-between.
The In-Between is a tragic film with many romantic and emotional moments that will stay with fans for a long time. The movie ends with a valuable life lesson and is definitely worth watching.

The Act is a story based on the 2015 crime that shocked a nation. It’s a captivating series that may be hard to watch for many people but is worth a try. It is one of the best roles Joey has played so far. The series has also won one Primetime Emmy.
