Aston Villa vs. Everton: Time, TV channel, stream, betting odds for Premier League clash

Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard face off in opposite managerial dugouts for the first time this weekend as Everton head to Aston Villa.

The pair racked up 220 England caps between them, as midfield partners for over 15 years, but the duo are now aiming to make a name for themselves in Premier League management.

Gerrard secured a 14th place finish for Villa last season, after replacing Dean Smith at Villa Park, with Lampard eventually steering Everton away from relegation following his arrival on Merseyside in January.

However, it has been a disappointing start to the 2022/23 campaign, with Villa losing 2-0 at newly promoted Bournemouth on the opening weekend, and Chelsea winning 1-0 at Goodison Park.

The Sporting News is on hand to bring you all the information you need ahead of this weekend’s match.

Aston Villa vs. Everton betting odds

Defeat on the opening weekend for both sides makes this clash a difficult one to call with both Gerrard and Lampard aiming to avoid the unwanted record of successive defeats this month.

Villa won home and away against Everton last season, once under Smith and once under Gerrard, and they will have an edge on their return to home turf in the early Saturday kick off.
