In this romantic comedy, a grumpy and reclusive author with OCD (Jack Nicholson) becomes drawn into the lives of his injured neighbor (Greg Kinnear) and a stressed-out single mother (Helen Hunt).

Despite tackling darker and more complicated material than your average romcom, As Good as it Gets still manages to be a heartwarming tale thanks to the brilliant central performances and the crackling dialogue from writer-director James L. Brooks (Broadcast News, Terms of Endearment) .

Both Hunt and Nicholson deservedly picked up Oscars for their work in the film.

This ’70s crime film dramatises the case of British serial killer John Christie (Richard Attenborough).
